A wonderful traditional 4 star boutique hotel in the centre of Soller
The El Guia Hotel and its emblematic restaurant Ca’s Pentinador has been in Soller for over 100 years. This is a building and business that has watched the changing world of Soller from its unique position next to the Soller Train Station. When new local owners took over the business in 2017 they knew that the heart and the welcome would remain the same. They wanted to modernise the facilities but not lose sight of the traditions. In 2018 they have achieved that objective, achieved their official 4* category and more.
El Guia now extends the whole block from Soller Station. The buildings house additional rooms, suites and wellness rooms. All the existing rooms have been modernised with new bathrooms, wonderful comfy beds and multi language television. As you enter the Hotel the Mallorquin curtains, fabrics and furniture is there. All thought has been given to the experience of being an El Guia guest including the fact that many people just love the original Mallorquin style and atmosphere.
The newly installed outdoor pool is a lovely addition. The welcome for guests with disabilities has been incorporated into the modernisations. El Guia now has a chairlift to the restaurant from the patio and also one to the specially adapted room on the first floor.
The restaurant serves all the Mallorquin traditional dishes that fill the restaurant every weekend with local people. The restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner for guests and visitors except Thursday. The much respected Chef has to have one day off a week! The Dining room is large and the outside terrace is another lovely place to sit and enjoy all that this unique place has to offer.
El Guia Hotel has renovated so that it is fit for purpose in 2018 with an ambition to continue for another 100 years and beyond. Come and visit us soon…
