Restaurant Mesquida +QD

Port de Soller.

To sit at the edge of the water looking out to the sea circled by the mountains of the Tramuntana is the Mesquida experience. Add to that the freshest of fish caught each day by Joan – the restaurant owner and you have the true Port of Soller experience.

The Port of Soller is a fishing port and the fishermen leave each day looking for the finest John Dory and the famous Soller Prawns. Joan used to be one of them and knows every inch of the fishing coastline of the Port of Soller. These days as dawn breaks, in his own boat, he goes fishing. The fish that are brought to the table at Mesquida have been caught that morning by Joan.

The kitchen of this fish restaurant is presided over by Anita who is a fresh fish expert and cooks it in the way the finest, freshest fish deserves. Beautifully grilled and brought to the table with love and pride.

Mesquida sits next to the fish market of the Port of Soller and each day around 5pm the fish is sorted, sold and sent on its way in refrigerated lorries. Mesquida buys the Soller prawns from this market every day and adds them to the menu to the delight of diners.

Mesquida Restaurant loves fish but also respects the finest meats and buys them from Soller’s famous butchers. Everything that is served in this restaurant is local and in the case of the desserts home made. The orange and lemon cakes are all made with the citrus fruits of the Soller Valley by the Mesquida family.

Fish are caught all year round and Mesquida serves it all year to the many customers who know that this is a restaurant that doesn’t close in the winter.

Joan, Jose, Toni and the Mesquida team look forward to welcoming you very soon.
