ES RACO D'ES PORT Restaurant

Real Majorcan food right on the sea front.

This classic, timeless restaurant, in the Port of Soller occupies a place in the hearts of local people and returning visitors. Since 1990 the Es Raco family have prepared classic Mallorquin dishes and served them to a hungry clientele. They are famous for their Zarzuela which is a glorious amalgam of white fish, mussels and prawns with rice in a fisherman’s sauce. People want this dish so badly they often order in advance of their arrival. The Monkfish in tarragon is a signature dish and the Black Rice prepared here is just simply delicious.

The location of Es Raco right on the edge of the sea and within metres of where the Port of Soller fishing fleet unload their catch every day means just one thing. The freshest fish, straight from the local sea finds its way to your table.

The family have a small orchard near the restaurant and oranges and lemons are brought in every day straight from the tree to make the sauces and the superb desserts that Es Raco is so justly famous for. The lemon mousse in this house has the tang of the family’s lemons together with their own special recipe.

Valerie and Andres run the restaurant these days after the retirement of their parents. They served their apprenticeship here at their parent’s elbow and now continue this excellent place into the next generation. The changes they have made include new opening hours. The restaurant no longer closes in the afternoon but continual service happens from 11 am to 22:30 every day except Wednesday.

Es Raco has three dining areas to choose from and can seat over 100 diners. The largest terrace is by the water front in the Port of Soller Marina. Children are welcomed with their own menu and desserts.

Es Raco look forward to welcoming you to this family run, traditional Mallorquin restaurant.
